Biscuits

My grandpa commented on my Tooth Paste and said, "You know, if you added some flour to that recipe you could knock out a pretty good biscuit."

Ha-ha! Here's a real biscuit recipe, for ya:

BISCUITS

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 cream

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Adjust the oven rack to the middle position and preheat oven to 450.
  2. Whisk the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt together in a bowl.
  3. Stir in the cream until a dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured counter and gather the dough until a ball forms. Knead for about 30 seconds, or until a dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough until it's about 3/4 inch thick and cut into whatever shape you want (wedges, squares, circles, etc.)
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Recipe from Cook's Illustrated Baking Book.
