Irish Soda Bread


This recipe for Irish Soda Bread is quick and easy. 

It doesn't require a mixer, kneading or time to rise.

It's basically a batter that can turn into a loaf of bread. 

It's awesome.

IRISH SODA BREAD


INGREDIENTS:
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan.
  3. Melt the butter and set aside.
  4. Lightly beat the buttermilk and egg together. Set aside.
  5. Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a large bowl and mix together.
  6. Add the butter and buttermilk/egg mixture to the bowl. 
  7. Stir together.
  8. Pour the batter/dough into the greased pan.
  9. Bake for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
