Cowboy Cookies


Welcome to the fifth post in my year-long Cookie Series, where I want to bring you a new and delicious cookie recipe every Tuesday of 2015!

Yee-haw! Ya like 'em recipe things, now do ya'? I got a good'ne for ya today.

What'a'ya call 'em?

I call 'em "Cowboy Cookies". Now, I'm gunna learn ya' real good how ta make 'em, ya hear?

COWBOY COOKIES

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
  • 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Put the coconut and pecans on a cookie sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
  3. Cream the margarine and sugars until light and fluffy. 
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla. 
  5. Next, mix in the flour, baking soda and salt.
  6. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes, or until browned.
