Yee-haw! Ya like 'em recipe things, now do ya'? I got a good'ne for ya today.
What'a'ya call 'em?
I call 'em "Cowboy Cookies". Now, I'm gunna learn ya' real good how ta make 'em, ya hear?

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup flaked coconut
- 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup margarine, softened
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 2 cups chocolate chips
DIRECTIONS:
Recipe adapted from Taste of Home.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Put the coconut and pecans on a cookie sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
- Cream the margarine and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and vanilla.
- Next, mix in the flour, baking soda and salt.
- Stir in the oats and chocolate chips.
- Bake for 12 minutes, or until browned.
