DIY Face Cream

I saw a face cream recipe on The Elliott Homestead and I decided I wanted to try it. I don't usually wear lotion for one reason: it feels like I'm rubbing butter on my skin. However, I looked past this and decided to try it anyway.

As I put the recipe together, I used Shea butter for the first time! I made a discovery: it smells like clay. This led me to another discovery: I would probably smell like an art project.

That night, I slathered it on my face. Ya' know what? My face was shiny.

It was so shiny, in fact, that I looked like a reflective street sign. The next morning, however, my shininess was cured and I could no longer be used in road construction.

After I had tried the face cream, I was very satisfied. My face was as smooth as butter!

In conclusion, if you don't mind smelling like an art project and temporarily looking like a yield sign, go for it!

  1. I loved the Corn Bread post -- who doesn't love cornbread? -- and thought the blog was really funny, but this one is AWESOME!! (I don't know about the goo, just the blog.) Thanks Katie!

That is all. I yield to the artist.
